Likey Listed Movies

A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas

Harold and Kumar are back! And so is Neil Patrick Harris! Has he come back from the dead? Harold and Kumar somehow kill Santa and all hell breaks loose. This movie is set to hit theatres in November of 2011.

Abduction

It's Taylor Lautner as you love him - straight-faced, near death car chases, clever one-liners, and sans shirt? We can only hope. We can also hope for more half-naked scenes like in the Twilight series. Those scenes have been very good to us. Sure he's practically jailbait, but...he shouldn't tease us then!

Back to the Future

Bel Ami

Is Bel Ami ever going to get released? Please say yes! Bel Ami is a movie based on the classic novel. It stars Robert Pattinson, Uma Thurman and Christina Ricci. I hear Rob gets it on with Uma in the movie and the scenes are steamy. It's a period piece as well so there will be a struggle with a corset. Good times.

Big Miracle

Breaking Dawn

Breaking Dawn is the movie/book where Bella and Edward finally screw! That's all that matters!

Charlie St. Cloud

Contraband

Contraband stars Mark Wahlberg (drool) and Kate Beckinsale. It was filmed in the winter of 2010/early 2011 in New Orleans. We were lucky to see some onset action! It's about a security guard that doesn't have much cash and considers an illegal way of getting out of it. I guess that means lots of action sequences involving Mark running and flexing his muscles. Sounds like a hit! Mark's brother Robert is also in this movie!

Cosmopolis

Cosmopolis is a David Cronenberg movie starring Robert Pattinson that was shot in Toronto in the summer of 2011. We saw several of the sets and Rob running to and from his trailer. Deliciousness. What a great way to spend a lunch break! It's also a delight when you literally walk on set while walking your dog. It'll be in a theatre near you in 2012.

Decoding Annie Parker

Decoding Annie Parker stars Helen Hunt, Dermott Mulroney, Samantha Morton, Ben McKenzie. This movie seems intense! It actually ciculates around 2 protagonists, Annie Parker and Mary-Claire King. Annie Parker is a young woman who loses her mother and sister from breast cancer and contracts cancer herself three times during her lifetime. So far. She's still around and kicking. Mary-Clair King is a young genius who was the first geneticist to discover a gene (BRCA-1) linked to the disease. She's uber famous in the healthcare world. The movie goes back in forth between the two ladies' lives, showing what it's like to live with the disease and what it's like on the research front.

Dorothy of Oz

Eclipse

Eclipse is the 3rd movie in the Twilight series. Known to fans as the first one they changed Victoria in, the one Xavier Samuel was in, the one that Bella and Jacob had the amazing kiss in, and the 3rd one Bella and Edward did not have sex in.

Everybody Loves Whales/Big Miracle

Everybody loves Whales has changed it's name! It is now called "Big Miracle." It was shot in Anchorage, Alaska in the early parts of 2011. It stars Drew Barrymore and John Krasinski (swoon). It's based on a true story about a group of grey whales that become trapped by ice in the Arctic Circle. It's in theatres February 3, 2012.

Friends with Benefits

Friends with Benefits was one of the best movies of the summer of 2011. It starred Justin Timberlake, Mila Kunis, and Justin Timberlake's bare ass. It has the predictable ending of the 2 friends falling for each other, but it's super funny and smart along the way. It also stars Andy Samberg and Jenna Elfman.

Ghostbusters

Ghostbusters 3

Is Ghostbusters 3 myth or truth? Apparently Dan Akroyd has said that the script is done and they are waiting on a few cast members to commit. Omg Venkman pull through!!! It's set to start filming in 2012 if miracles do in fact happen.

Hunger Games

LOL

LOL seems like a high school coming of age movie. Those are usually a good time! This one stars Demi Moore, Miley Cyrus and Ashley Greene. It's a remake of a European movie, but here's hoping it brings the laughs. Expected in theatres sometime in 2011.

Magic Mike

Magic Mike makes me quiver just thinking about it. It's roughly based on Channing Tatum's real life start in life - as a male stripper. I know, amazing! Channing doesn't play the dancer though, Alex Pettyfer does. Channing is the mentor that helps him along the way. Everything about this movie sounds good to me. It also stars Matthew McConaughey, Olivia Munn, Joe Manganiello, and Matt Bomer.

Moneyball

Moneyball is based on the true story of the Oakland A's GM, Billy Beane. It stars Brad Pitt, Jonah Hill and Robin Wright. All I know is at the premiere for this movie at TIFF, the fans were hysterical for the Brange. I haven't ever seen anything like it. You'd swear the Pope was in town, but the Pope was the number one icon in pop culture and was super hot.

Monte Carlo

Monte Carlo was a little movie released in the summer of 2011 starring Selena Gomez, Leighton Meester, Katie Cassidy, and Cory Monteith. I featured it on this site because of the latter of course and fastforwarded to all the parts he was in. Highly recommend those accumulated 20mins or so. The rest is great too, I hear, but ....yeah.

New Moon

New Moon is the second movie and book in the Twilight series. To fans it is known as the breakup movie, the movie Jacob really looks hot in, the movie the Volturi appear, and the book we all fast-forwarded through until Edward made his triumphant return. You know you did it too! Oh yeah, it's also the one that half takes place in Italy and the one the majority of the Cullen crew has 1 line in.

New Year's Eve

Now/In Time

Now changed it's name to "In Time." It stars Justin Timberlake (crap he's making a lot of movies lately), Amanda Seyfried, and Olivia Wilde. All I know is that in this movie everyone stops aging at 25. Hello??!! This movie should be a blockbuster!!!

On the Road

On the Road is a movie based on the book with the same title written by Jack Kerouac in 1957. The book is somewhat of an autobiographical story about friends Sal and Dean. They travel across the U.S.A a few times. That's the gist of what I know about the flick a.k.a. not much. It stars Kristen Stewart, Viggo Mortenssen, Amy Adams and Tom Sturridge (RPatz's friend). It was filmed in Mexico, Montreal and Argentina in the summer of 2010.

Remember Me

Did anyone else bawllllll their eyes out during Remember Me?!! F**K!!!! I didn't see that ending coming. This movie starring Robert Pattinson and Emilie De Raven didn't get enough praise. It was fab. What did get a lot of attention was the filming of it in NYC during the summer of 2009. Mobs of fans swarmed the sets on a daily basis. Hey, there's a tour of all the set locations on the net if you want to scope it out!

Rise of the Planet of the Apes

Scream 4

Do I really have to write about the synopsis of Scream 4? There's a lot of ....you guessed it....screaming. Yippidy ky yay. Courteney Cox, David Arquette and Adam Brody are in this one? Who dies? It was filmed in the Detroit area in the summer of 2010.

Shark Night 3D

Sisters and Brothers

Sisters & Brothers is a movie Cory Monteith and Dustin Milligan shot together. It premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2011 where the 2 guys helped to give it a warm send off. Warm. That's the funny feeling inside the 2 boys give me. Tee hee.

Smurfs

I don't what you say, this movie was good! Gargamel, what? There were 3 amazeballs things about this movie. 1. Neil Patrick Harris is a sexybeast in this film. To bad he doesn't like vag, but way to go for the peeps with balls! 2. Jayma Mays is in it. She's on Glee as the GC. Love her! 3. THEY FINALLY SAY WHY THERE IS ONLY ONE CHICK SMURF!!!!

Snow White and the Huntsman

So Undercover

I was on the set of So Undercover in New Orleans in the early winter of 2011. You could hear Miley Cyrus talking from the next block over. It takes place at a sorority house and also stars Jeremy Piven and Kelly Osbourne (love her!).

Something Borrowed

I hate chick flicks, but I liked Something Borrowed. Kate Hudson does bitch well. Ginnifer Goodwin plays a pathetic leading lady well too. She does! But the very best part of this based on the book movie? JOHN EFFING KRASINSKI!!! I lurve him. I lurve his character Ethan as well. It sucks that he got the shaft, but ooooo John.

Take This Waltz

Take This Waltz was filmed in Toronto (yay!) in the summer of 2010 and stars Seth Rogen (yay again!) and Michelle Williams. It's about the roughness of a marriage (non-yay!). I'm assuming it's a comical take on it though. It premiered at TIFF and Seth was nice to us, therefore I will promote this movie til you hate me.

The Barrens

The Barrens stars True Blood's Stephen Moyer and was filming in the Guelph area of Ontario, Canada. It's a thriller/horror about a family that goes on a camping trip together. The Dad seems to think that they're being stalked by some kind of monster. Dun dun dun.

The Kennedy's

The Lucky One

The plot of The Lucky One is somewhat of a blur. I know that I know it, but I just get so distracted when I think about it. Why? It stars Zac Efron with a buzz cut. Yes, a manly haircut. I didn't think I'd care, but oh I do. Crap, I do. He plays a marine. A f**king marine! Swoon! He did his stint and now he's back stateside searching for some twat he thought was his good luck charm. Whatevs. HAIRCUT!

The Romantics

The Vow

The Vow was partially shot in Toronto (hehe) and stars Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum (sigh). It's about a pair in love (no shit), who get married and live happily until they're in a car accident and Rachel loses her memory. Not all of it, just of Channing. Dun dun dun.

The Woman in Black

The Words

The Words was shot in Montreal in the summer of 2011 and stars Bradley Cooper, Olivia Wilde and Ben Barnes. It's about a dude that's a real douchebag and claims another writer's work as his own. Everything turns into hell after that.

Transformers 3

Transformers 3 is well, the third in the series. Duh. It's the third that Shia LeBeouf has starred in, but the first Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has starred in. She's flipping fantastic in it! Way better than foxy was. Just please, please don't make another one.

Twilight

Ah Twilight. This movie was the beginning of the end for me. The books were amazing, and I totally suggest you read them. This book kinda got me on reading again, other than for school. This movie though? Although it was the big break for Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, it was kinda crap! Don't hate me! You know it's true! Thank gawd they are getting better with each sequel.

Valentine's Day

Wall Street 2

Wall Street 2 starred Shia LaBeouf and his ex Carey Mulligan. I literally stumbled onto the set in NYC one night and watched filming for about 4 hours. Too bad LaBeouf was LaDouche. Really...it is sad. I wish it wasn't true!

Water for Elephants

Water for Elephants was a kickass movie. It starred Robert Pattinson, Reese Witherspoon and Tai the Elephant. It's worth the rental or illegal download. It won't disappoint.

Welcome to People

Welcome to People was shot in L.A. in the spring of 2011 and stars Olivia Wilde and Chris Pine. They're both super pretty in real life. I was eating sushi at this place that was by the set one day and they walked in and chowed down. Pretty, pretty people. The gist of the movie is about a guy who's dad dies and leaves a crapload of money to the sister he's never met. So he goes and finds her.
